Ruilin Yin
Ruilin’s research focuses on developing new chemistry and designing novel microporous ladder polymer materials for a range of chemical separation applications.
Ruilin received his B.S. in Chemistry, with minors in Materials Science and Engineering and Statistics, from UC Berkeley, where he conducted research under the supervision of Prof. Ting Xu.
Outside the lab, Ruilin is passionate about mentorship and outreach. He serves as the Head TA Trainer for incoming Chemistry graduate students and, for the past three years, has mentored college seniors through the Graduate Application Mentorship Program (GradAMP). He has also participated in Stanford Splash for the past three years, teaching engaging science courses to middle and high school students.
