Ulysse Gross

Ulysse grew up in Rome, Italy, and earned his BSc in Chemistry from Radboud University in the Netherlands. During his undergraduate studies, he worked with Prof. Paul Kouwer on fluorogenic probes for azide quantification and spent four months at MIT in Prof. Timothy Swager’s lab, where he synthesized conjugated fluorescent polymers for the ultra-trace detection of PFAS. Before joining the Xia Lab, he completed a research internship with Prof. Michael Mastalerz at Heidelberg University, working on the synthesis of 3D chiral organic cages. Ulysse now works on polymer mechanochemistry in the Xia Lab.
